OVERVIEW

Every season, television networks need visual assistance in communicating their value to prospective advertisers. For those outside of the entertainment world, these are called the Upfronts. Many networks will have an exciting event with celebrities and giveaways. These events will always include some sort of presentation.

Style, an NBC Universal network, wanted to forego the expected charts and stats of the conventional presentation and wanted a mostly visual presentation. We came up with a "fashion look-book" style presentation that told the story of network, the demographics, and the shows that their sales team could use on the road.

the presentation

The main presentation was interactive and dynamic, showcasing over 100 'lookbook pages' that included sizzle reels providing previews of the shows. Each show page aimed to offer a visual overview of the show without relying on descriptive sentences. As we delved into each property, we selected items strategically to give viewers insights into the show's theme and its place within the broader Style programming world. This also helped advertisers understand visually how their brand could align. Certain elements on each page were clickable by the presenter turning over stats, a video or a fun fact.

Leave-behinds

To ensure advertisers had the information and numbers they needed on Style's demographics and marketing, we created print leave-behinds. The main piece was an interactive pull out. When you pulled the main slide, a secondary page "popped up". We also created a series of one-sheets that focused on individual advertising industries.

Giveaway & Advertising

As part of a giveaway, advertisers were provided with a link for a chance to win tickets to a Rihanna concert, along with some swag to wear. The campaign also utilized a mix of digital and print ads to reach advertisers during upfront season, featured in industry journals and websites.
